Manqoba Mngqithi, who has been a fixture at the club since 2013, is set to sign a new deal and take over as head coach. Mngqithi has enjoyed great success with Sundowns, helping them secure numerous titles, including the 2016 CAF Champions League. His new role, which will see him head the technical team, will also include support from Steve Komphela and Romain Folz, further strengthening Sundowns’ coaching lineup.

Despite the rumors surrounding the coaching vacancy at Kaizer Chiefs, Mngqithi’s future seems secure at Sundowns, and the contract discussions are in the final stages. Fans have expressed their support for the coach, with many urging him to stay at the club, noting his long-term success and the club’s current stability.
