The Premier League title race is intensifying after 15 matches, with Liverpool emerging as the frontrunners after a stellar start to the season. Defending champions Manchester City are struggling, Arsenal have been inconsistent, and Chelsea have surprised many. Opta’s supercomputer has predicted the likely winner of this season’s title following an action-packed Matchday 15.

Matchday 15 brought plenty of drama, especially at the top. Liverpool’s Merseyside derby was postponed, but their title rivals Arsenal and Manchester City failed to capitalize on the opportunity, with only Chelsea securing a win. Opta’s supercomputer has now weighed in with its predictions after last weekend’s results.

Chelsea claimed an exciting 4-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, moving to within four points of the leaders, though Liverpool still have a game in hand. Arsenal had a frustrating 1-1 draw against Fulham, and Manchester City continued their poor form with a draw at Crystal Palace. After a midweek win over Nottingham Forest, City couldn’t overcome Palace, their tricky opponent. Arsenal sit third with 29 points, while Manchester City, with 27 points, face a struggling Manchester United next.

Opta’s supercomputer now predicts Liverpool have an 81.1% chance of winning the title, up slightly from 80.9% before Matchday 15. In contrast, City’s chances dropped to just 4.3% following their disappointing result. Arsenal, last season’s runners-up, now have an 11.8% chance of winning their first Premier League title in 20 years, a slight dip from 12.5% before their draw with Fulham.
