Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly looking to offload two of their players, Mduduzi Mdantsane and Zitha Kwinika, for a combined fee of around R20 million. Both players have struggled for game time this season under head coach Nasreddine Nabi, and as a result, they’ve attracted interest from PSL rivals AmaZulu FC. The club is believed to be keen on selling the duo to free up space in the squad for fresh signings.

So far in the transfer window, Chiefs have secured the services of Tashreeq Morris from SuperSport United, while Christian Saile has moved in the opposite direction. However, the potential sale of Mdantsane and Kwinika could further bolster Chiefs’ plans as they look to strengthen their squad.

Mdantsane, who has been sidelined for much of the season due to injuries, is regarded as one of the league’s top attacking midfielders when fully fit. Sources suggest that a change of scenery might be what he needs to revive his career, and AmaZulu FC has shown interest in bringing him on board. “Mdu remains one of the top attacking midfielders in the league, but his injuries have limited his opportunities. A fresh start could be just what he needs, and AmaZulu is keen on him,” an insider shared with Soccer Laduma. “We’ll know more about his future in the coming weeks.”

With the transfer window nearing its end, all eyes are on whether Chiefs will make further moves to reinforce their squad. Their most recent victory, a narrow win over Sekhukhune United, saw them scrape past a resilient opponent, leaving assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef hopeful that fans will continue to back the team. “We need their support now more than ever, especially when we are in tough situations. They have always been there for us, and we want them to know that we are on the right track,” Ben Youssef said after the game.

Chiefs’ next challenge comes in the Nedbank Cup, where they will face Free Agents in the Round of 32 on Sunday. The team will be eager to build on their recent performance and continue pushing for silverware as they navigate a busy period in the season.
