The announcement was made during the draw for the Africa Cup of Nations 2025. Motaung highlighted that the establishment of the ACA headquarters in Morocco will be key in bolstering the growth of African club football.

“We believe this move will strengthen the ACA’s presence on the continent, providing a solid foundation for the development of African club football,” she added. “As Morocco prepares to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, this partnership will benefit the game and provide a platform for its continued growth.”
