Kaizer Chiefs will conclude their 2024/25 Betway Premiership journey this Saturday with a home match against Polokwane City at FNB Stadium. This 28th and final league game comes after a shortened season, which lost two fixtures following Royal AM’s expulsion earlier on.
Both teams have plenty on the line. Chiefs currently sit ninth with 31 points and are eager to secure a win that could push them into the top eight — a spot they narrowly missed last season. Polokwane City, sitting just above in seventh place with 33 points, will be determined to hold on to their position and avoid slipping down the table.
Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi will welcome back defenders Inacio Miguel and Bradley Cross from suspension, giving the squad a boost. However, winger Pule Mmodi won’t feature after receiving a red card in last weekend’s 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United.
Off the field, fans can look forward to a festive celebration as Kaizer Chiefs, in partnership with SAB, host a fan appreciation event starting at 12:30. Attendees will enjoy live sets from popular local DJs and artists like Ms Cosmo, Jelly Babie, and DeeJ Yamang. Supporters will also get a chance to snap photos with the Nedbank Cup trophy, recently won by the club.
Kick-off for the final league clash is at 15:00. Tickets cost R60 and are available online at www.opentickets.co.za or in person at Shoprite and Checkers outlets nationwide.
Kaizer Chiefs supporters are urged to arrive early, don their gold and black colors proudly, and rally behind the team as they finish the season with one last push for success.
