Kaizer Chiefs’ Nasreddine Nabi Expresses Frustration After Another Draw

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi didn’t hide his frustration following his team’s 0-0 draw against Cape Town City at FNB Stadium. The result added to the club’s ongoing inconsistency in the Betway Premiership, with missed chances once again proving to be their downfall.

“We Should Have Won” – Nabi Laments Missed Opportunities
Despite dominating possession and creating multiple clear-cut chances, Chiefs were unable to convert any into goals. Nabi didn’t hold back in expressing his disappointment, stressing that his players must take more responsibility in finishing their opportunities.

“This is a match we’ll regret because we should have won it. We faced a team that defended with almost all their players inside their box, yet we had clear chances. We should have finished them, but we didn’t, and that’s a big regret,” Nabi told SuperSport TV.

Lack of Finishing, Not Passing, the Issue
Nabi rejected the idea that the team’s passing was the problem, pointing instead to their inability to finish chances.

“It’s not about the pass. It’s about putting the ball in the back of the net. We need to take more responsibility – as players and staff. We’re in this position because we drop points like this. We control games, create chances, but we don’t convert them,” he explained.

Call for Urgency and Accountability
With another important match coming up, Nabi urged his players to step up and take responsibility for their performances.

“It’s unacceptable. We lost points today, but we have another game this week, and we need three points. Every team will play like this against us. Maybe a team with more quality will attack more, but we must be prepared,” he added.

Nabi also emphasized the weight of playing for Kaizer Chiefs, reminding every player that they have a responsibility to deliver.

“Every player must remember that playing for Kaizer Chiefs is a big responsibility. Whether you play five or ten minutes, it matters. I’m sorry we lost these points today. Every player at a big club should be able to hit the target when given the chance,” he concluded.

With pressure mounting and points crucial, Chiefs must find a way to turn their possession into goals in their next match. Will they respond to Nabi’s call for a more clinical performance?
