Kaizer Chiefs head coach, Nasreddine Nabi, has made it clear that his team’s focus is firmly on their own strategy, not Mamelodi Sundowns’, ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated Betway Premiership clash.

However, his toughest test yet lies ahead as Kaizer Chiefs prepare to face a dominant Mamelodi Sundowns side. The Brazilians have been a formidable force in the domestic league, often proving difficult for Chiefs to overcome.
Despite the high stakes and the buzz surrounding this match, Nabi insists that his focus remains on perfecting Kaizer Chiefs’ own game plan, while still giving Sundowns the respect they deserve.
“For us, it’s not about Sundowns specifically as much as it is about facing an opponent, and we prepare according to how we want to play, no matter who the opposition is. Of course, as with every match, we’ve analyzed their form this season,” Nabi explained on the Chiefs’ official website.
He further expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness, highlighting the natural motivation that comes with a high-profile fixture like this one. “It’s actually easier to prepare for big matches because the players are always up for them. These are the games they look forward to the most. No extra motivation is needed; our team is ready.
