Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are in the midst of a troubling run, having gone six games without a win, following their 3-3 draw with Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. City had been cruising with a 3-0 lead, but a late surge from Feyenoord saw them score three goals in the final 15 minutes, forcing the match to end in a disappointing draw for the Premier League champions.

Guardiola was clearly frustrated after the game, attributing the collapse to his team’s defensive fragility. While the team had played well for much of the match, the moment they conceded the first goal, their confidence faltered, and they were unable to maintain control. Guardiola acknowledged that this mental fragility had been a recurring problem, particularly in their recent defeats, and admitted that it had cost them vital points.

The result marked the sixth consecutive match in which Manchester City had failed to secure a win, their longest winless streak under Guardiola since he took charge. Defensively, City has struggled to keep their shape, allowing two or more goals in each of those six games—a record they haven’t seen since the 1960s.
