France delivered a strong performance on Sunday night, defeating Italy 3-1 to finish top of their UEFA Nations League group. Playing in front of an electric home crowd at the Stade de France, Les Bleus outclassed their opponents with a mix of sharp attacking and disciplined defense.

The game started with both sides showing intent, but it was France who struck first in the 18th minute. Antoine Griezmann opened the scoring after a brilliant assist from Kylian Mbappé, calmly finishing past Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Italy tried to respond but found it difficult to break through France’s midfield, where Adrien Rabiot and Eduardo Camavinga controlled the game. Just before the break, Olivier Giroud made it 2-0 with a powerful header, converting another excellent cross from Mbappé.

Italy came out with more urgency in the second half and pulled one back in the 56th minute through Nicolò Barella. The midfielder’s long-range strike gave the visitors hope, as they began to push France harder.

However, France showed their class and sealed the win in the 75th minute. Kylian Mbappé, who had been a constant threat all evening, picked up a loose ball and went on a solo run, beating two defenders before curling his shot into the bottom corner.

France managed the closing stages expertly, denying Italy any chance of a comeback. The victory not only secured top spot in the group but also earned Didier Deschamps’ side a place in the Nations League Finals.

With players like Mbappé and Griezmann in top form, France continue to show why they’re among the best teams in the world. For Italy, it was a tough loss, but they’ll look to regroup and bounce back in their next matches.

This performance further cements France’s status as a favorite for any tournament, as they march confidently toward the finals.
