Makgotso Lee-Anne Mokopo, better known as Gogo Maweni, has reportedly been arrested in connection with an assault charge dating back to 2019. Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed that the renowned traditional healer was charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Maweni, who gained fame for her appearances on the reality TV show Izangoma Zodumo, is expected to appear before the Protea Magistrate’s Court in Soweto on Monday.
