Musa Khawula, the social media influencer, is facing an arrest warrant after failing to comply with a court order from the Johannesburg High Court. The order was issued following Khawula’s October 12 post on the platform X, where he accused Ze Nxumalo of cheating on his wife, Dr. Tamaryn Green Nxumalo. The post included a photo of Dr. Tamaryn with a child and the accusation that her husband was being unfaithful. Nxumalo took legal action, demanding an apology and retraction of the statement. However, Khawula ignored the court’s directive.
On November 6, Judge Ettian Raubenheimer issued a ruling confirming Khawula’s non-compliance with the court order. The judge emphasized that Khawula’s failure to retract the defamatory statement and apologize was a violation of the court’s authority. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued against Khawula. The court had instructed him to permanently remove the post and stop making further claims about Nxumalo and his wife, but Khawula disregarded the legal requirement.
The court also placed a strict ban on Khawula mentioning the Nxumalos or making any additional allegations about them on social media. If he continues to ignore the ruling, he could face contempt of court charges, including imprisonment. This case highlights the serious consequences influencers can face when using their platforms irresponsibly and disregarding legal orders.
