As part of its founder’s birthday celebration, the Nyatee Foundation made a generous donation to the Tshegofatsa Rona Welfare.
In a heartwarming display of community support, the Nyatee Foundation recently hosted an event in Kempton Park to donate much-needed resources to Tshegofatsa Rona Welfare. This generous gesture, which included a vehicle and a financial contribution, aims to bolster the welfare’s ongoing efforts to support vulnerable individuals, particularly children, elderly women, and young men facing various hardships.
The donation marked a significant milestone for the Nyatee Foundation, which is dedicated to uplifting communities in need. The foundation’s contribution included a VW Kombi, groceries, and a substantial cheque to assist the welfare in continuing its critical work. The donation will directly improve transportation logistics, making it easier to support residents, while the groceries will help provide essential supplies to those staying at the facility.
Cynthia Dinalane, a representative from Tshegofatsa Rona Welfare, expressed her deep gratitude for the support. “We are incredibly grateful to the Nyatee Foundation, Mr. Nyathi, and everyone who contributed to this event,” she said. “This donation will make a significant difference in the lives of the women and children at the welfare. It’s truly amazing how God works in mysterious ways, and we are thankful to everyone who helped make this possible.” Dinalane also highlighted that, as Tshegofatsa Rona Welfare does not receive external funding, the support from the Nyatee Foundation is invaluable in enabling the organisation to continue its mission.
The event also saw the attendance of several notable figures, including the iconic iHhashi Elimhlophe, Dr. Linah Ebony Ngcobo, Linda Sibiya, and Puleng March, who came to show their support for Nyathi’s vision and birthday celebration. Reflecting on the impact of the event, Nyathi, the founder of the Nyatee Foundation, shared his thoughts: “While I am filled with gratitude, I am also frustrated by the systemic issues that lead to situations like these. This experience has only strengthened my resolve to continue addressing these challenges.” Nyathi emphasised that the donation was more than just a financial contribution—it was a symbol of collective action to bring hope and support to those who need it most. “We must continue to work together to create lasting change in our communities,” he said.
Looking ahead, the Nyatee Foundation plans to expand its impact with several upcoming initiatives, including the construction of homes for those in need and programs to help individuals return to school. Through these efforts, the foundation aims to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing adversity.
