Kwaito legend Professor Kalawa has issued a warning about a Facebook imposter using his name to spread gossip and tarnish his reputation. The iconic artist, known for hits like “Lento” and “Imoto,” expressed concern over a fake account that shares personal images and celebrity gossip, confusing his fans. Professor, who has been in the music industry for nearly three decades, clarified that he does not engage in such activities online.
The musician, whose real name is Mkhonzeni Langa, suspects the imposter might be someone close to him, as the page shares personal details and updates. However, the account’s sudden focus on celebrity gossip, which is not in line with Professor’s character, raised alarm. He emphasized that he is not active on social media and does not post negative content about others.
The fake Facebook page has gained 794,000 followers, further spreading misinformation. Despite multiple attempts to report the account, Professor has been unable to have it removed. He is calling on anyone who can help expose the imposter and protect his image, urging followers to be cautious and verify any content coming from the page.
