Limpopo singer Kharishma, born Melita Mohale, has officially severed ties with her former manager and fellow artist, Christina “Mamcee” Ribane, following serious allegations of financial misconduct. The decision to part ways comes after accusations that Ribane, who also served as Kharishmaβs booking agent, was involved in fraud, including mishandling performance payments and withholding funds.
In a public statement, Kharishmaβs management revealed that the Chokeslam hitmaker has not received any payments from bookings made through Ribaneβs account since November 2024. The funds, which were meant for Kharishma, reportedly never reached the artistβs pockets, prompting the move to terminate the professional relationship. βWe wish to inform you that Miss MC Ribane, known as vocalist Mamcee, is no longer associated with Kharishma Entertainment,β the statement said.
The dismissal followed a thorough review of Ribaneβs financial handling and a discovery of what Kharishmaβs team described as βgross misconduct.β In response, Kharishma’s management has redirected her future bookings to a new account and is currently conducting a full investigation into the allegations. βPlease be advised not to make any payments to any bank accounts provided by Mamcee,β they cautioned in the statement.
While Ribane has acknowledged the allegations, she remains defiant, stating that she is open to an investigation but without offering any further details. “They are free to launch an investigation, and then let me know the outcome,” she said, leaving the situation unresolved as of now.
The dispute has raised serious concerns within the local music industry, shedding light on the often murky relationship between artists and their management teams. As Kharishma works to resolve this issue and protect her financial interests, her fans and colleagues are watching closely to see how the investigation unfolds and whether justice will prevail for the talented Limpopo singer.
