In a surprising turn of events, KZN singing sensation Mawhoo (real name Thandeka Nontobeko Ngema) has parted ways with her sister, Noxolo Ngema, who was previously managing her career. The two, who were once inseparable, are no longer working together after a fallout that led to Noxolo being removed from her managerial role in Mawhoo’s business.
A close friend of the family shared insights with ZiMoja, revealing that Mawhoo and Noxolo had been living together in an apartment in northern Johannesburg while Mawhoo awaited the completion of her new home. However, tensions flared, and the sisterly duo could no longer keep things professional. “They were doing just fine and getting along well,” said the source. “But they fought, and Mawhoo kicked her out of the apartment. They are no longer speaking.
Noxolo, who had been managing Mawhoo’s bookings and brand-related matters, reportedly became complacent in her role. She started missing gigs and neglecting bookings that Mawhoo would have accepted, a move that led to frustration. “She became too comfortable knowing her job was secured,” the source explained.
Adding to the complications, Noxolo is also a singer and has pursued her own music career.
