At the Lemo and Cufa festivals in Bloemfontein, drama unfolded as tensions flared between performers and organizers. Singer Makhadzi expressed frustration after DJ Oscar Mbo reportedly cut off her music during her performance, while fellow artist Lloyiso Gijana had an outburst on stage.
In a video circulating on social media, Lloyiso is seen venting his anger, accusing the festival organizers of treating him poorly. He addressed the audience, saying, “We arrived early, but Lemo Festival has treated us terribly. I’m tired of the disrespect towards artists. We put in a lot of effort for these performances, but they didn’t even provide us with a backstage room to prepare.” His frustration peaked as he cursed the organizers before abruptly leaving the stage.
