In a bold move, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television has announced the development of a documentary focusing on the multiple sexual assault allegations against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. The news comes following the revelation of a fourth allegation against Combs, heightening the public’s attention on the growing controversy.
50 Cent took to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday to share that the proceeds from this documentary will benefit victims of sexual violence. In his post, he attached a clip from the documentary featuring former Bad Boy Records rapper Mark Curry, who alleged that Combs and his coterie engaged in dangerous party practices. Curry claimed that women at these parties were unknowingly drugged, recalling instances where Combs would allegedly spike bottles of champagne for women to drink from. According to Curry, the women “became real, real slippery” as a result of being drugged, unaware of what had happened.
The untitled documentary is still in development, with 50 Cent serving as Executive Producer. G-Unit Film & Television released an official statement confirming the project and their commitment to supporting survivors of sexual violence: “Proceeds from this documentary that G-Unit Film & Television receives will go to victims of sexual assault and rape.”
While representatives for Diddy have not responded to these new developments, Combs himself addressed the allegations in an Instagram post on December 6, vehemently denying all accusations. “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” he wrote. “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth.”
The allegations against Combs gained significant traction after a lawsuit was filed last month by Casandra Ventura, widely known as R&B singer Cassie. She accused Combs of subjecting her to a decade-long pattern of abuse, including rape and physical violence.
As 50 Cent’s documentary begins to take shape, it promises to cast a spotlight on not only the allegations but the broader culture of power and control within the music industry. For now, the battle between Combs and his accusers continues to unfold, with the public eagerly awaiting further developments in both the legal arena and the world of entertainment.
