Bursary Overview – Fields Eligible:
For the 2025 academic year, AWS is offering bursaries to students pursuing Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies in technology-related fields, including:

  • Accounting and Finance (BCom)
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering

Students with disabilities may apply for any field of study.

Coverage and Opportunities:
The bursary, awarded based on academic merit and financial need, covers:

  • Tuition fees
  • Stationery and books
  • Personal computer
  • Accommodation
  • Living costs

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens
  • Be in or have completed Matric
  • Plan to study full-time in an approved field in 2025
  • Attend a recognized South African university
  • Achieve at least 75% in Mathematics and Physical Science in Matric
  • Achieve at least 65% in English in Matric
  • Have a minimum average of 65% at tertiary level (if applicable)
  • Show leadership potential and maintain a strong academic record

Preference is given to students with disabilities, but all are encouraged to apply.

  • Child support documents (if applicable)
  • Proof of disability (if applicable)
