Amazon wants South African students to apply for its Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year & it’s a great opportunity.
If you’re, the deadline is 30 September 2024, so don’t drag your feet.
StudyTrust, working with Amazon, specifically needs current undergrads about to hit their final year of a three-year degree or heading into year three of a four-year degree in 2025. They should be gearing up for an Honours degree in 2026 and be really into Amazon and software development engineering.
The fields on offer include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, and Information Systems – all cool courses to pursue.
To make the official cut, check these boxes:
• Studying those subjects
• Rolling into the third year of a three or four-year undergrad course in 2025
• Getting set for an Honours in 2026 if you’re on that three-year path
• Signed up at a local university
• A South African citizen all the way
• Pulling off a consistent academic average of 65% or more
• Dead serious about Amazon and software development
If that sounds like you and you’re open to getting considered for a full-time role at AWS post-graduation, then this bursary’s right up your alley.
You should know that the bursary covers tuition, living quarters/personal pad, money for daily expenses (subsistence), all your supplies/books (yay!), a computer to call your own, and travel costs – pretty sweet deal.
In return, here’s what they’re asking:
• Get through an internship in summer break and take part in some training at Amazon.
• Be ready to say yes to a full-time gig if they offer it after checking your internship performance.
• If you snag that full-time job post-graduation, commit to sticking around for the number of years covered by the bursary.
If this sounds like something you want in on, hop online ASAP and send them your application via the Amazon Bursary Application 2025 link.
